Introduction

Hi All ,

For those that don't know the purpose of this blog is you can all participate in my travels around China !  (Well, around the one part of China)

On the 18th of June 2016 myself and several other students from the University West of Scotland will be travelling to Southern China to attend a two week field trip with our host team; University of Southern China Students.

throughout the two weeks we will take part in many activities and experiences to broaden our knowledge of technology on a global level and to learn about new cultures.

Please see this extract from UWS Flyer for further information:

As part of our internationalisation strategy and in order for students to gain more international experience, the School of Engineering and Computing and the School of Health, Nursing and Midwifery have teamed up with our partner institution, University of South China (USC – www.usc.edu.cn), in Hengyang, Hunan Province, China, to organise a two-week summer field course from 18 June to 1 July 2016.

The activities during the two weeks will include interaction with USC students, participating in seminars, taking part in Chinese lessons and cultural shows, visiting hospitals and possibly a software or company (TBC), presentations of UK-China HE systems with USC students, playing sport games with USC students, sightseeing to places such as Nanyue mountain, one of China’s top 5 Buddhist holy lands.

Stay tuned for updates :)!
